Some ILA 2016 impressions shared by our trainee

My name is Thomas Peters and as a trainee, I had the possibility to visit the ILA (Berlin Air Show) on Thursday the 2. of June, together with Mr. Zysk and a group of employees from the QPAC GmbH. Of course we had the time to visit the static-display-area and to join the flying-display program partially, for example the impressed demonstration of the A-400M. Moreover the exhibition was used to maintain and expand the network to cooperation partners. I had the chance to take actively part in an early planning process of a business meeting, at which the expansion of a project with the theme „simulation of virtual reality“ will be the aim. For this goal many promising dialogues were conducted with representatives of the DLR, the Technical University Wildau, "Business Development Dahme-Spreewald“ and some Airbus representatives from the E-Aircraft Cockpit Concept team.

A bright interest were shown for the project by the interlocutors and all agreed to meet within the next weeks at one table for more detailed conversations. Kindly we were received at the booth from the „Dahme-Spreewald Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft“ were we could talk to the named representatives in a friendly atmosphere. We were also invited there to eat some snacks and so I had the possibility to tell Mr. Zysk some of my own ideas. For example, to expand the marketing strategy for the project with further quality examination by accepted aviation experts. Moreover the thought, to form a further goal for the project by which it would be possible, to convince potential customers, replacing their different simulation techniques by only one cross-section-device and save money in result. All in all I can draw a very positiv conclusion from our ILA-visit. Although the event has become smaller in comparison to former years, it is still worth to go there. Especially if you are not just interested in flying-display rather than in building up networks.

Presentation of ongoing research activities at MBG

Together with about 150 guests, the Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH (MBG) celebrated their summer festival in Potsdam with canoeing, airbrush tattoos, bull riding and barbecue food. QPAC took the opportunity to present our latest research work in the field of alternative fuels which we are performing in close cooperation with BTU Cottbus. The Fuel Cell based Emergency Power System connected to our A320 X-Plane simulation drew the attention of audience of all ages.

Airbus A350 XWB Advanced

Advanced  Fly-by-Wire and Flight systems
  • Full FBW with Highly realistic implementation of the Airbus “normal law” by QPAC – the most realistic fly-by-wire implementation for desktop flight simulation.

ILA 2014 - a great show has come to an end

QPAC can now confirm the general opinion, that ILA 2014 has been a big success for our company during the trade visitors days, as well as during the public days.

A lot of highly productive meetings with regular customers were conducted, and as a result, the collaborations will become even more efficient and fruitful. Further, very interesting new contacts were made with a strongly positive response, and we are confident that those will be translated into important future projects, from Research and Development to Engineering.

During the whole show, no one was able to resist our A320 Flight simulator X-plane plug-in, displayed in collaboration with DLR on a cockpit flight simulator hardware with working replicas of the actual controls and indicators as well as large displays. All visitors experienced great pleasure in flying with the simulator – from young kids to experienced professionals.

Even the most professional visitors greatly appreciated the latest improvements in the plug-in - it has become even more detailed and realistic than the first release and it includes many new features that were not available in the freeware version.

 Summing the ILA 2014 up, we can say that we had a lot of interesting meetings with important people so that we will be able to not only strengthen our position, but also improve and amplify our range. Looking forward to ILA 2016!
